Assessments
Why get an assessment?
I offer diagnostic assessments for ADHD, autism, and AuDHD for children, adolescents, and adults. My assessments focus on diagnostic clarification for individuals with intact language and cognition. I do not provide skill-based or psychological testing.
A diagnosis can explain a lifetime of experiences that never quite made sense, and reframe years of struggle as neurology, not character flaws. It can ease the self-blame that builds up from working twice as hard as everyone else just to keep up. It gives you language for yourself and the people in your life who have never quite understood you. It can open the door to therapy that actually fits how your brain works, and support access to accommodations at school, at work, or with a prescriber.
For parents, a diagnosis can be just as clarifying for you as for your child. It's also common to recognize your own experience somewhere in your child's assessment process.
What a Diagnosis Can Support
Personal understanding and therapeutic work
College accommodations (requirements vary — I can help you figure out what your institution needs)
Workplace accommodations (qualifies you to make a request; approval is up to your employer)
Medication management (prescriber dependent — I can connect you with an affirming provider if needed)
Section 504 plan requests
What It Does Not Support
Social Security Disability Services
Regional Center Services
Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Different institutions have different documentation requirements. I'm happy to help you figure out what applies to your situation before moving forward.

What kind of assessment is right for me?
An abbreviated assessment includes a comprehensive clinical interview, developmental and life history review, evidence-based assessment measures, a DSM-5-TR diagnostic determination, and a brief written summary confirming the diagnosis. It's a good fit for those seeking personal clarity, a starting point for therapy, or confirmation of what they already suspect.
A complete assessment includes everything above, plus a detailed written report with a full clinical formulation, trait profile, and personalized recommendations. This is best optimal if you plan to share documentation with a school, employer, or healthcare provider, or if you want a thorough record of your or your child's diagnostic profile.
Important note: This is a diagnostic assessment, not a psychological evaluation. These are different processes, and it matters for how the documentation can be used.
